Melissa Auf Der Maur
CAN (THE NORTH EAST)
The multi-talented Melissa Auf de Maur originates from Montreal, Canada. Between 1994 and 1999, she was a songwriter and bassist for the rock group Hole, famously fronted by Courtney Love. In 2000, Melissa joined The Smashing Pumpkins for their farewell world tour. In 2004, her solo album Auf de Maur was released on Capitol Records/EMI. Currently she is working on a multimedia project Out Of Our Minds, which incorporates her next album, a film, a cartoon and a website. Quite some project, and we are honoured to have such an artist join us at Dour this summer.
