FAQ

  • What about sanitary on the festival site?

    There are a lot of toilets on the festival site and the camping sites. There are water points at the toilet exits, so you can wash your hands and refresh yourself.

  • Can I leave the festival and come back later?

    Off course! With your wristband you can leave and enter the festival at any given moment.

  • Can I hand out flyers and promotional posters?

    For environmental protection reasons, the distribution of leaflets and promotional posters is forbidden on the festival site. If you want your posters to be hang up on the festival site, please contact Virus Promotion.

  • Are there food and beverages available at the festival and camping?

    Refreshment booths are of course available at the Festival site and in the campgrounds. A large choice of food is available, from typical dishes to classic snacks. Remember to bring enough money if you wish to eat your fill.

    Alcohol, plastic bottles (water, milk, …), glass bottles or any other glass recipient are prohibited.
    There are water points at the toilet exits, so you can wash your hands and refresh yourself.

     

    There are “cooking islands” available at every camp site. You can prepare your meal over there with . This service is provided by Young CSC since 2003.

  • Where can I find medical assistance on the site?

    The Red Cross will help you with every kind of medical problem. Their tents will be spread all over the festival site and their team will look after you around the clock.

  • What are the timetables for the shuttle to/from the railway station of Saint-Ghislain?

    From this station a bus shuttle drives you to the festival site for free.

    Shuttle schedule of the bus between the Saint-Ghislain train station and Dour Festival:

    Wednesday 13.07 — St. Ghislain > Dour from 12pm until 12am —— Dour > St. Ghislain from 2.30pm until 10pm
    Thursday 14.07 — St. Ghislain > Dour from 8am until 11pm —— Dour > St. Ghislain from 8.30am until 10pm

  • Can you withdraw money at the festival?

    No charge ING ATMs are located at the entrance of the festival. It is also possible to withdraw cash on the festival site from hostesses, however, it will then cost you a 1€ additional fee.

  • Is there a prevention booth at the festival?

    Numerous and varied services are offered to you around aspects concerning hygiene, health, safety such as free distribution of ear plugs, presence of fire brigades and police on the site, free use of toilets, and many others !

    Modus Vivendi, Spiritek and Prevention Services of Mons are offering:
    – Information and advice for harm reduction related to the use of alcohol and other drugs. Available on the displays at the entrance of the site (village associations) and the external path of the campsites;

    -“Relax Zone” at the path along the campsite B (a place that offers peace and quiet and where professionals will help you if distressed following the acquisition and use of a product);

    -A mobile team on the grounds of the Festival;

  • Is there a parking spot for people with reduced mobility?

    There is a parking for people with reduced mobility, which you can enter with a valid card for disabled persons. You don’t need to make reservations beforehand.

  • How can I pay at the festival / camping?

    Cash – YES

    Maestro – YES (+ 1 EUR handling fee at the festival)

    Cheques – NO

    Ticket Restaurant – NO

    Monopoly money – NO

  • What should I do if I loose/ find an item?

    Lost and found is located on site at the info stand, as well as in the police container located at the entrance.

  • What is included in the 5-day + camping ticket ?

    With your ticket you have access to 5 days of concerts on the festival’s stages and to the campsite.
    This ticket also entitles you to get on board of the shuttle that links Saint-Ghislain train station and the festival site for FREE.
    The Camping site will open on Wednesday July 13th at noon.


    The local authorities forbid us to open the campsite earlier. The Camping Desk will close at midnight on Wednesday, and will re-open on Thursday at 10am. For the rest of the festival’s duration the camping desk will be open from 10am until midnight every day.
    PLEASE NOTE : You have to leave the site on Monday July 18th by midday.

     

     

  • Is there a minimum age to enter the festival?

    Dour Festival has no minimum age requirement, but the Festival does not have suitable accommodations for young children. The Festival is free for children under 12 years old (not including 12-year-olds). Please note that it is not a good idea for very young children to stay on the site for several days.

  • What’s prohibited at the festival site?

    Strictly forbidden at the festival:• alcohol, plastic bottles (water, milk, …), glass bottles or any other glass recipient
    • metal cases (tin cans), cartons (tetra pak), metal cans, kegs, waterbags (CamelBak), coolers
    • illicit substances. It is strictly forbidden to use or sell drugs at the festival. Every breach can lead to expulsion of the festival.
    • weapons, sharp objects (even fake), pointy umbrellas
    • fireworks, bengal fire, barbecues, …
    • camping material (tents, chairs, heaters, …)
    • big bags
    • recording devices (except for smartphones), speakers, megaphones, selfie-sticks, laser pointers
    • markers, paint bombs
    • the distribution of flyers, folders, promotional posters (except with authorisation)
    • animals (except for guide dogs)
    • dronesEverything that is considered dangerous by the organisation.
    (*) This list can be adapted or completed by the organisation at any time.Every non-authorised vending is formally forbidden. All seized goods will be destroyed on the spot.
  • Is there a parking spot?

    Parking is available close to the site and is free of charge!

    Warning: trailers are not allowed at the parking areas.

    Warning: For safety reasons you will not be allowed to leave the parking area with your vehicle before 6:00 pm on Wednesday 13 and Thursday 14 July!

  • What should I do if I have a problem with my order or my ticket?

    First of all contact your ticket retailer :

  • My ticket does not reflect my name but of someone else, is this a problem?

    No the names on the tickets are not checked at the festival entrance.

  • Can I come to the festival with my kids ? Is there a special price for them ?

    Of course you can bring your kids along, the entrance is free for the under 12. However we do not recommend bringing young children for long periods of time.

  • When are the ticket windows open?

    Wednesday: 12h > 00h
    Thursday – Sunday: 10h > 00h

  • FAQ – Accommodation

  • Safety

    Please follow the instruction of our security staff at all time. For safety reasons – especially in case of fire – tents must be placed inside the camping zones. Tents that are placed on roads and emergency-roads, will be removed immediately.

    Open fire, barbecues, generators and heating elements are strictly forbidden at the camp site.

    We do everything we can to prohibit accidents and / or theft. Despite this, camping is your sole responsibility and the organisation has no liability whatsoever in case of an accident and/or theft.

    To avoid theft, please keep your valuable objects (money, cell phone, …) with you at all time.

    If you see suspicious behaviour, please be cooperative and speak to a security guard. There is a 24h police service at the entrance of the festival.

  • Mobil homes / Camping Cars

    For security reasons and in concordance with the security service’s instructions, mobile homes are not accepted any longer in the campsite.

  • On Dour campsite, I can/can't... ?

    • glass bottles or any other glass object.
    • kegs / beer pumps
    • illicit substances. It is strictly forbidden to use or sell drugs at the festival. Every breach can lead to expulsion of the festival.
    • weapons, sharp objects (even fake), pointy umbrellas
    • fireworks, bengal fire, barbecues, …
    • power generators, gas bottles, heaters (camping gaz). There are “cooking islands” available at every camp site. You can prepare your meal over there. This service is provided by Young CSC since 2003.
    • big bags
    • recording devices (except for smartphones), speakers, megaphones, selfie-sticks, laser pointers
    • markers, paint bombs
    • the distribution of flyers, folders, promotional posters (except with authorisation)
    • animals (except for guide dogs)
    • drones

    Everything that is considered dangerous by the organisation.
