Adopting a stage name with multiple references to his hometown as well as to his first musical loves and his legendary TR 909, Danilo Plessow, better known by the alias Motor City Drum Ensemble, is one of those formations that won't be forgotten anytime soon. First of all, his is one of the rare ensembles consisting of just one member, and secondly, his musical culture and mastery of turntables draws us into a whirlwind of disco, jazz, funk, house and soul that we wish would never end.
