Avant-Garde Metal Day is back! 😈
Dour Festival: Avant-Garde Metal Day is back on Saturday July 18 with Cult of Luna and AmenRa headlining!
Great news! Avant-Garde Metal Day is back at Dour Festival for the second year in a row. Saturday afternoon will be anything but a rest for those who dare to venture to the Garage, our new stage dedicated to guitars. In 2020, Dour Festival will make no exceptions to the rule that has established its international reputation: musically, there will be something for everyone, with bold and quality choices.
The Swedish Cult of Luna will perform this year at the Garage, having released a new album at the end of 2019 , A Dawn to Fear, of unprecedented quality, confirmed the supremacy of the group on the current post-metal scene. The Belgian doom metal group AmenRa will also present their unique, crazy show, considered by some to be a true communion with the public as they combine bewitching texts and powerful instrumental lines.
To continue the momentum of Belgian metal, two groups from the country join the poster! The heavy and petrifying atmosphere of Lethvm‘s live performances will awaken the public, in the same way that the group Brutus will unveil their entire musical palette, mixing hardcore, post-rock, metal or even post-hardcore.
As nebulous as it is threatening, the group Gatecreeper is also on hand to unleash themselves on Dour Festival, alongside the Spanish hurricane Altarage with an overwhelming atmosphere and intimidating live set.
The two French groups Regarde Les Hommes Tomber and Hangman’s Chair are also joining the programme and will draw on the power of their 9 members for an intense and dark musical experience which should make waves amongst many.
