A natural wind farm
The festival has plunged into renewable energy by replacing the historical slag heap with the Dour wind mill park.
A new playground, still in Dour, to reinvent itself and to look to the future. Camping, music, discovery, local involvement…, that is our DNA.
What’s better to symbolize this change than the windmills (two of which were financed by inhabitants of Dour).
From the very beginning of the festival, the environment played a central role and consistency demanded that these wind turbines should become the most beautiful symbol of the festival.
The challenge was insane, but also based on a permanent search to surprise the fantastic “People of Dour”, demanding and loyal, nostalgic but constantly looking for the avant-garde.
