DOUREUUUH! 50 NEW NAMES

Today, Dour Festival unveils 50 artists who are joining the lineup for its 2024 edition! Justice, Skepta, SCH, Rema, The Blessed Madonna, Kaaris presents Or Noir, Four Tet, Subtronics, Dinos, Paula Temple b2b SNTS…

After announcing its first names last month, among which there are Amelie Lens, Bicep, James Blake, Luidji, Chase & Status, Netsky and TRYM, Dour Festival hits a big blow with 50 new artists who will perform from July 17 to 21.

JUSTICE AND ELECTRO FOR ALL

One of the most highly-anticipated comebacks of the year, the iconic French Touch duo Justice will be back in Dour, where they will present their new album at the end of the festival. Now a temple of electro and a must for all artists and fans of techno, house, electronica and all their variations, Dour Festival will roll out the red carpet this year to the Chicago queen The Blessed Madonna, the master of London electronica, aka Four Tet, the German expert of galloping infra-bass Paula Temple b2b SNTS, the Australian producer HAAi, the French artist I Hate Models, who specializes in techno at 140 BPM, and who will come to present his live Face II Face. The festival promises to dance to the rhythm of Jayda G‘s house, garage-house mixes that combine RnB classics, dancehall classics, Jyoty‘s baile funk, techno with indie accents by Irene Drésel, the jungle speed garage of the trio Black Rave Culture and raptor house by DJ Babatr.

GRIME, AFROBEAT & HIP HOP

2024 will be the year of Rema at Dour Festival. You couldn’t have missed his hits and his Afrobeat with his recognisable voice. The Nigerian artist promises us an exceptional concert, as does the king of grime, Skepta, who will come to represent his new album in Dour. Another Made in Nigeria phenomenon, Omah Lay and the Afrowave group NSG will also be there.

PUNCHLINES IN FRENCH

The former will be celebrating the tenth anniversary of his album “Or Noir,” which he will replay on stage, the latter sang “Marché Noir” on his album “JVLIVS II”: Kaaris and SCH will perform respectively on the Boombox and the Last Arena. The native of La Courneuve Dinos and the BFFs of Belgian rap Caballero and JeanJass will celebrate a new trip to Dour, while the phenomenal French rookies Kerchak, Luther and Rounhaa will make their debut at the foot of the wind turbines. The rapper lover CRC and the autotune of Zonmai also join the line-up and will represent the emergence of the Belgian rap scene.

ALL AVANT-GARDE

The Berlin collective Live From Earth invites DJ Gigola, horsegiirL, MCR-T and our Belgian darlings PROMIS3 for a takeover of the Petite Maison dans la Prairie (‘Little House on the Prairie’) against a backdrop of trance and hyperpop. The collaborator of Lady Gaga and figure of the New York electronic avant-garde LSDXOXO will return to Dour to deliver a memorable live performance, just like the crossed-out techno-medieval producer Roland Cristal. As for Sega Bodega, he will present his deconstructed, experimental club music.

NO DOUR WITHOUT BASS MUSIC

No Dour without drum and bass, dubstep, riddim and other subgenres derived from bass music. Fans of big subs, bass that makes the whole body vibrate and fast-paced beats will be well catered for. The essential American producer Subtronics, the drum and bass star Bou and Alix Perez in collaboration with SP:MC will make their big return on the De Balzaal stage. The Belgian Apashe also returns with the Brass Orchestra, and the Canadian Bambii will present a mix of drum and bass, jungle and dancehall with Jamaican inspiration.

TOUCHED BY GRACE

The South African Kenya Grace will deliver a mix of liquid drum and bass and RnB while the London-based collective Kokoroko will offer a delicious jazz and afrobeat journey. 2024 will be the year of the hidden child of Marcus Miller and FKA Twigs, aka Reinel Bakole, who will return to the festival. As for the Brussels-based Dorothy Gale, winner of the Court-Circuit 2023 competition and the pop songwriter Toya Delazy, they are already announced as new discoveries that festival-goers will boast of having seen in Dour.

DOUREUUUH 🤘🏽

What would Dour be without guitars, punk, hardcore and rock of all kinds?

The spearhead of Belgian hardcore punk, Brutus, the 40-year-old hardcore band Sick Of It All, the British post-punk of SHAME, and the Americans of Terror will all be at Dour Festival next July. The shoegaze of Bar Italia, the hyperpop alternative metal of Deijuvhs, the gothic rock of Loverman and the punk garage of Meltheads will finally melt you down just like the new punk-rock face of the British scene Joe Unknown. And don’t forget to make your way to the Garage, the new lair of headbangers and pogoers.

These artists join: Amelie Lens, Bicep present CHROMA AV DJ Set, CHASE & STATUS Live, Ezra Collective, Gazo, James Blake, Josman, Luidji, Netsky, TRYM presents MILLENIUM A/V Show, Creeds Live, Honey Dijon, Kekra, Oguz, Nia Archives, Puggy, Zaho de Sagazan, Bizkit Park, Chippy Nonstop, MJ Nebreda, Obongjayar.

One third of the #dour2024 poster has now been unveiled. We look forward to seeing you in a few weeks for new announcements and in July for a memorable edition of DOUREUUUH!
