This Norwegian duo, composed of Henriette Motzfeldt and Catharina Stoltenberg, tells both lived and imagined stories – exploring apathy, loneliness, inner monologue, as well as love and friendship.
Smerz draws on classical composition techniques, experiments with computer-assisted music, and blends it with the immediacy of pop, all within a “girl existentialism” aesthetic. Throughout their work, they have become known for their ability to explore and craft unique sonic worlds.
