Since its founding in 2005 by Disrupt and Rootah, Jahtari has been spreading a unique vision of digi-dub, blending 8-bit sounds with sound system vibrations. Deep, powerful, yet always infused with a touch of humor, their ‘digital laptop reggae’ has established itself as a true subgenre in its own right.
At the controls, Disrupt uses a Game Boy and laptop to run riddims in the style of King Jammy, delivering extended live sessions rich in dub effects and immersive basslines. By his side, Speng Bond, a true British dancehall legend, brings his energy and sharp storytelling skills, honed since the 1980s alongside Quaker Sound, Steel Pulse, and UB40.
