Mek’Dr’Dr is a Brussels-based post-punk duo made up of Mien Heyvaert and Sara De Wit, where groovy basslines and chaotic rhythms form the core of a minimalist post-punk sound. With a playful approach, they explore themes such as the ugliness of Flemish linear housing developments and societal norms. Their debut EP, No Safer Place Than A Toilet Seat, invites listeners to embrace imperfection while touching on love, empathetic activism, and the absurdity of life. Inspired by artists like The Slits and Young Marble Giants, their live shows deliver a mix of chaos and surprises, standing still is simply not an option.
