THE HORRORS
The Horrors are back to haunt Dour Festival on 20th July
Twelve years after their memorable performance at Dour in 2013, the British band The Horrors are back, transformed, darker and more powerful than ever. With twenty years of career behind them, a unique ability to reinvent themselves, and a new album, Night Life, marking a radical shift in their evolution, they are set to captivate audiences once again.
Led by founding members Faris Badwan on vocals and Rhys Webb on bass, the band now welcomes Amelia Kidd on keyboards and Jordan Cook on drums. Together, they have reinvented and renewed themselves, while remaining true to their essence: dark, immersive and mesmerising.
From their explosive debut with Strange House in 2007 to the electronic and industrial experimentation of V, Lout and Against The Blade, The Horrors have always been able to blur the boundaries of rock. Each album is a mutation, from the airy shoegaze of Skying to the twilight tension of Night Life.Recorded between London and Los Angeles with Yves Rothman ( Yves Tumor, Blondshell), this album dives into the thoughts that arise when the world is asleep. An album that fuses melancholy and euphoria, and revives the raw energy of the band’s early days with a fresh perspective.
On stage, The Horrors transform this intensity into an immersive, incandescent experience. A hypnotic wall of sound, a constant build-up of tension, controlled chaos that grips you to the core. On 20 July, The Horrors takes over the Dour Festival with a hypnotic performance.
